Charlotte is an accomplished singer, songwriter & vocal coach.  Classically trained & a graduate of the Brit School (alumni include Adele, Amy Winehouse & Jessie J) Charlotte’s background comprises of both exceptionally versatile training & experience, from playing Download Festival as the lead singer of a rock band to performing gospel backing vocals on ITV. Charlotte works day to day as both a session artist & vocal coach, having started what is now one of the most successful singing schools in Kent. Charlotte is also a proud member of the esteemed Mark De-Lisser Singers & Gospel Choir, is the lead singer of function band, Midnight Martinis & performs with multiple other function bands across the UK. Between these projects and performing her own original material, Charlotte gigs regularly around the UK & Europe.

Charlotte has achieved a world of experience over her many years working in the music industry. From a childhood aspiring to be on stage, and her first stage appearance aged just seven, Charlotte has developed her craft through varying methods of learning and created her own style as a well-rounded musician and voice coach.

Originally classically trained, she found a natural talent for voice work both as a soloist and in a group, performing regularly from a very young age. This led to Charlotte writing her own songs and lyrics from the tender age of thirteen, and shortly after she discovered the Brit School – her newfound ambition was to attend the prestigious performing arts school.

Before being of age to attend the performing arts school, Charlotte developed her love for jazz and soul music, making a steady move from classical gigs to jazz and soul. Charlotte quickly gained a great reputation in and around her hometown of Colchester as the local singing sensation.

After auditioning for the Brit School, Charlotte gained a place and spent the next two years furthering the progression of her vocal style. Voice coach, Mark De-Lisser, trained Charlotte in becoming a more confident performer in popular music, and improved her range and knowledge no end. Charlotte spent hours writing numerous songs and lyrics along her journey & The Brit School offered performance opportunities at many respected venues (The Roundhouse & Queen Elizabeth Hall to name just a couple), enabling her to use her skills as a pianist and challenge her voice at all styles imaginable.

Not one for university, Charlotte decided to follow her career ambitions straight from the Brit school. After a few months doing home visits as a vocal coach, an opportunity arose to join a rock band, Symphony Cult. This was not a natural step for Charlotte but she had never been one to turn down a good opportunity. This led to some amazing breaks and before long, Symphony Cult was recording an album in Germany, touring throughout the UK and Europe supporting great bands like Fozzy, Breed 77 & Sevendust, and playing festivals such as Donnington’s Download & Taubertal in Germany.

Symphony Cult enabled Charlotte to gain recognition for her vocal talents in magazines, such as Classic Rock and Metal Hammer, and reviewers rated her as one of the best female vocalists to come out of rock and metal. After a whirlwind of success, Symphony Cult decided to take some down time whilst writing new material, and now all members of the band are busy building respective careers in their own fields of the music industry.

Charlotte moved to Kent in 2010 and has since built a highly respected singing school, teaching over 60 regular private students at present both from home and at local schools. As a performing artist Charlotte’s live experience goes a long way when it comes to knowing how to develop & maintain a healthy voice through the duress of regular use & many students have gone on to perform in West End shows & take part in television talent shows. Charlotte is now the ‘professional voice’ for Trinity Rock & Pop tutorial videos & she also organises busy showcase events locally for singing students of all ages that want to progress into live performance.

When she’s not teaching, Charlotte tends to be in the studio either writing or recording. Working with producers across the globe, Charlotte’s voice is regularly used on songs being submitted to labels, sound-alike tracks & original songs being released independently. Charlotte co-writes with some producers and simply records the requested parts for others. As a versatile artist this work covers all genres, from classical and jazz to soul and pop.

Live music is currently at the forefront of Charlotte’s career path, since writing a new EP in 2017 (due for release in 2018), creating the in demand function band, Midnight Martinis as well as joining the ACM Gospel Choir.

Charlotte is now doing a combination of voice work as a session vocalist, voiceover artist, vocal coach, and soloist. If you have any requirements for a female voice, Charlotte is highly experienced in doing both spoken & sung work, used to following strict instruction as well as being given the space to be creative.
