The Nearness Of You by Hoagy Carmichael & Ned Washington is one of the first jazz standards I learnt and absolutely loved singing. When I was first introduced to singing jazz it was like an epiphany moment of 'why on earth hasn't this happened before?!' and I became obsessed!
